Dick, thanks for the idea. I wish my sticker looked nearly as good as yours. Think of a piece of paper soaked in oil and dirt for 40 years. That what mine looks like. It is barely legible even in direct sun, and although I can make out some of the inforamtion, there is no way I could even think of phoyocopying as I would get nothing but black on the copy. Like I said, I am hoping it dries out over time and maybe I can work on the dirt and grime and see what shows.

Re: C3 68 Tank Sticker
Michael, I was so nervous that I could hardly use the wrenches to remove the tank. I had bought that car about two years before I removed the tank (1985). I had know the car (1969) since 1970. The car had serious body work done in the early '70's. Seems it went through a plowed field at about 100 mph. Fortunately the tank was not messed with and the original glass was available when it was repaired. I bought the car thinking it was a L/88 but I had never seen any documentation. You could hear my sigh of relief 5 miles away when I saw that sticker. The pencil written 291 happens to be the last three digits of the VIN.Dick Whittington- Top
