    1957 Corvettes in Denver?

This another picture from the Ed Teskey collection. I think that it was taken in Denver but I'm not sure. I do not know what the sign on the box car reads. The signs on the doors of some of the 57's is "Fuel Injection Corvette". I have no idea why the photo was taken or for whom.

Looks like about 30 cars I'd say new delivery? Looks like a bunch of salesmen mulling around several dealers?.

Why would some soft tops be down and some up on new delivery cars?

        Bill..thanks for sharing the picture.

Although one would think the cars were delivered by train because of the picture..I don't think so.( at least not from St.Louis )

Shipments of Corvettes by rail did not start until 1959.

And they wouldn't have arrived in those box cars.

Two white(ish) ones on the right are not FI or, at least, I couldn't see any FI emblems in the coves. Simply a SWAG on my part but the box cars may have been used as cover for prying eyes from the nearby roadways during an early preview-release for regional Chevy dealers??? Notice that all the box car doors are closed and there are no flat cars in either string providing a walled and unsuspecting show ground.

Dibbs on the center front row black-red one.
