Look you got your top flight and your not destroying the Corvette so do what makes you feel good, as you said you can turn it back . NCRS is not a every day event but driving can be.

It's not just drilling holes to put on side exhaust, unless you get the Hooker type and modify it to fit. That "might" be possible.
If you want factory style side exhaust you're cutting into fiberglass. Now you're talking real money to put it back to original.

You have to drill holes in the front inner skirts to mount the covers, cut the fiberglass lower fenders off the front and rear and cut off the 6 steel rocker panel mounting tabs to mount the mufflers. It is a somewhat invasive procedure but not irreversible.
