I was reading messages on Corvette Forum and ran across this link. It had Dave Dawdy in some of the pictures and wondered if this is the same David Dawdy here.
If it is, it looks like he was quite the racer once.
So is he still in that Mississippi Valley Corvette Association? There are some looking for a club in the Alton IL area and it is being discussed on Corvette Forum right now.
That seems typical of small towns. I have found many that the Ford dealer remains in the center of town on main street usually and the Chevy dealer goes out to the edge of town to spread out. I guess there are two thoughts by the dealers - The Chevy dealer is doing better so he needs more space to sell more cars. OR The Ford dealer is more in touch with his community.
No the MVCA died about 15 years ago .We still all have Corvettes just not enough time for a club. The SSR and the Corvette look good together . The SSR was bought back by GM after the photo .
On one of the other pages, there is a homecoming parade. The dealer is Jerseyville Motor Co., a Ford dealer. There is also a Dodge Chrysler Plymouth dealer called Jersey County Motor Company.
