C1 Trunk Alignment

I bought my C1 after someone else took it apart. Never again!! Any way - I am now fitting the trunk lid. It sits too far to the drivers side - so the passenger side gap it too big. I can't see an adustment on the hinge -is there one? Or do I have to file out the hinge holes. Getting the file out seems drastic. Afterall, assuming I have the orginal lid - they should have made it fit at the factory.

Mark,
After doing all you can with the normal adustments at the hinge and the gap remains, you may wish to glass/fill(Evercoat)the edge with the gap to bring it to specs.
