Restoring the wheels on my 1978 pace car. Does anyone have a recommendation for someone in St. Louis who can paint the red stripe back onto the wheels?
If that option doesn't work out for you and you're confronting the DIY option, you can pick up what I believe is called a pinstripe wheel. Once you know the width of the pin stripe, you can paint the stripe with one twirl.
We have one of the striping wheels at work . and we had the wheel needing the stripe .Our pin stripe wheel does not go to 1/4 inch wide and it will not adjust to roll close enough to the edge of the rim . The pace car wheel was striped with this type of wheel we could still see the roller marks ,we just couldnt do it with our roller...Bill
