    Flywheel inspection cover

Can anyone tell me what GM numbered inspection cover would be used on a 460486 bellhousing?

    Thanks,

    Chuck

        Chuck-----

Your quest will be an easy one. Just go down to your local GM dealer and order one. They'll sell you all that you want for about 20 bucks each, GM list.

Re: Already made the call Joe

If all my quests on my beast could be this easy.

Funny, one dealer can order me one for $14.50 and another dealer just two miles away will let me have one for $25.00.

Me thinks me smellith a rip off rodent

          Thanks again Joe,

          Chuck

            Chuck-----

GM list is currently exactly $20.30. So, the $14.50 dealer is offering to sell it to you at or near "trade" (wholesale) price. The $25.00 dealer is using his list price "escalator" program on you. This is a program which "automatically" increases the list price of items on a "sliding scale"---the lower the GM list price, the greater percentage of "escalation". In this case, it's getting you at the 25% scale.

Some dealers might tell you that this is LIST price. Technically, they are correct. It IS list price----THEIR list price but NOT GM list price.

I've gone from band aids to tourniquets on my check book

              Thanks again Joe,
