    57 power top.

    My 57 #809 250hp FI also has a power top.
    My question is, where are the outer seat belts attached? I believe the power top cylinders are attached to the seat belt brackets using a pin with a cotter pin. Can the seat belt also use the cylinder mounting pin?
    It looks like the only other existing fastening point might be the body mount bolt behind the door jam but the switch assembly on the passenger side looks like it might be in the way.
    Any help is appreciated.

      Bruce -

      They should attach the same way the factory-installed seat belts did from '58-'62 when equipped with a power top; I don't have a '58 A.I.M. to look at.

          power top cylinders but you would need a longer pin and a spacer

              Thanks Guys, that makes sense. When I removed the belts they were through the body mount and just didn't seem right.
