    53 to 57 Radio

    Left is the 53 to 55 power pack design and right side is the 56 to 57 power pack.
    53 to 55 are 6V or 12V but look the same and NO! you cant install a 12V vibrator in a 6V power pack/
    56 to 57 12V and all had the shielding over the glass tube.
    Thought every one knew this ,but get people asking me how to tell the difference.

    OK the (radio) on the right, is it a 56 or 57 and why???

      The radio on the right is like my '57 wonderbar. The harness from the radio goes into the side of the speaker, not the back like the one on the left.

            Correct and the other year was a plug-in L/S of the Radio

                Don! I read your bio you have a 57 , I had a few too, how is your radio power connected ? Fuse or plastic plug in?

                  Roy,
                  My radio is connected just like the radio on the R/S picture. There is an in-line fuse connector that supplies the power. The radio is at the shop right now but I remember having some difficulty getting the connector apart after 50 years.
