I have been searching for the "right" 1965 - 1967 Coupe for nearly two years. I came close on one but was a day late. We are looking for a nice driver to take on weekend trips in the nice weather months (midwest based) One of the requirements we have is the the car has air conditioning. I have recently located a couple of 1965s equipped with after market air conditioning systems. Both cars have L-76 engines. What are the potential problems or downsides of the after market units. What questions should I be asking the sellers about them? And how much, if any, does an add on a/c devalue the price of a "no matching" coupe? I will appreciate receiving your comments and suggestions.

Re: Air Coupe with 365 Hp / 327 ci
I would personaly think that there would be little if any devaluation, since the cars you speak of are already non-original to some degree, and the aftermarket systems I have seen can be removed without leaving any "tracks" if a subsequent owner should want to do so.- Top
