    GM 202 Ignition coil

Can anyone tell me the differences between the original Delco Remy 202 coil and the new replacement GM Restoration Parts replacement? I see that the GM Restoration parts version has the 12V and 202 embossed on the can. How does the new version hold up in NCRS judging?

    Thanks,
    Dave K.

    Re: GM 202 Ignition coil

I have seen a 202 and a 270 repo and they look good ,it just depends on how smart the judge wants you to think he is ,my original 202 coil has a dash between the 12 and the v = (12-v) but im sure there was more than on place that provided coils to gm in the 60s, the repo has (12v) without the dash ,as it is descibed in the JG book for 65. thats all i know but hope it helps you .jim
