    Z bar grease seal question

I've got the outter ball assembly and felt figured out and ready to go, but as there was no inner felt to go by, just how does the felt get positioned?

My replacement felts (I got two in the kit) are not very elastic, and I can't get it to slide over the stud no matter which direction I go.

If I remember correctly (it's been seven years since I touched this thing) there seemed to be a very chewed up rubber type material hanging on the ball stud when I removed the Z-bar. So is there something "other" than a felt seal that seals the inner ball stud, or am I just missing something?

    Chuck

    Chuck -

There's no felt seal at the engine end - just the square-section rubber seal on the engine side of the ball stud. LICS has the seal - #28-07B.
