    '67 Trailing Arm Rebuild

I am looking for someone to rebuild my rear trailing arms that does the same quality work as John Pirkle does with Alternators and Starters.
    Thanks in Advance.

Gary does excellent work on differentials, steering boxes, and rear trailing arms.

        Re: '67 Trailing Arm Rebuild

        Dick,
Will Bairs' work pass top flight judging without any deductions?
Is Bair's the "BEST" out there?
I know lots of places do trailing arms but who does them so they look and work exactly like factory original and will not get any points deductions?
        Thanks,
        Kurt

Tell Yogi or Brian what you want and you will have no problems.

              Mark,

Like Dick said...tell them what you want. If not, some of the components will not necessarily be finished (NCRS) correctly. Be specific what finish you want on them, such as black painted spindles, no stainless color paint where it originally wasn't, etc. When they(Bair's)did mine, I was not specific and had to remove and/or repaint some of the components to be finished as original, which was difficult after assembly. As an example, the rotors and spindles were finished with stainless color paint, which was very time consuming to remove.

                  Jim,
You really would have to call Gary and ask him about your situation. From my contact with him, he prefers to bolt them in place for several reasons (one that comes to mind is parking brake access) but, again, you would have to talk to him personally for special assembly that he may or may not be able to perform.

Re: Doesn't anyone do them correctly?

Maybe they don't want to responsible for the "correct" finish on the components. As long as they don't mind finishing them to your specs, I guess that's what matters. That way they won't be responsible if someone later complains about point deductions during judging.
