Some have seen or know about my oil-eye. It's a after market item from the 50's so you don't need to stop the engine and open the hood to check the oil.I installed it under my dash and ran the line to the trans fluid, not the engine oil, it uses engine vacuum to suck the oil into the glass bulb . You run a line into the trans tube to a level so if the trans needs one quart of oil it will not fill up.
You push the glass bulb button, it will light ( for night time) and the red trans oil will fill if the level is OK , after releasing the button the oil returns .
You can also inspect to see if the trans oil is good by the color. This is the rarest after market item I've ever found and use daily before driving off. There are many neat things you can find now and then to make your Corvette different then others and you can use .But I know it's hard for you all being the NCRS loyalist you are!
