The Dallas Morning News printed a picture and almost the entire press release prematurely. It is (or was) embargoed until July 1. If you want to see the picture and article go to corvetteforum.com - Z06 discussion. The post (2001 C5 Corvette, Andrew Brimberry) should still be on the first page. The big news is the new Z06 option for the Hardtop 385/385 HP/Torque, special suspension, zero to 60 in a claimed 4.0 seconds and a quarter mile in the 12s, but that rubber ducky rear brake cooling scoop has gotta go. "> The LS1 gets more grunt from idle to peak revs, but nobody knows what the Z06 package will cost. Guys already have orders in for mid-July build dates.

In addition, the current issue of Super Chevy magazine does a complete report on the LS-1, and that a Camaro option will be available; the last "hurrah", so to speak. Jeff B.Comment
