    59 front stabilizer installation

Okay, how do I get the front compressed enough to attach the stabilizer bar? It is a good 2-3 inches from the point where I can begin to attach the link.

    Paul,

I assume you are working on a bare frame, ie no motor etc.

Remove the front shocks and replace them with 1/2" threaded rod, attach appropriate washers/hex nuts and tighten them equally until you can connect the links.

Or wait until the weight of the motor is helping and connect then.

If they still will not reach, some measurements are required, I had no trouble with this on my '58.

    Best Regards, Cruisin' in Connecticut..........Mark
