    interior light

I just recently purchased a '74 Corvette. Everything has been fine with it for the first 2 months I have owned it until yesterday when it wouldn't start. After taking 1/2 hour to find the battery, I jumped it and it started. After driving it around a while I came home, turned it off and noticed that the interior light would not shut off. I tried the light switch again and again and nothing happened. Finally I disconected the battery and left it at that. What do you think the problem is? Loose wire?

open doors and push in both pins in jamb or one at a time with out a helper. check if dimmer is on interior light mode, all the way up with a dull click. if still on it is a bad pin or a bad light switch or a ground short(highly unlikley)at the light. being a fberglass car this should not be hard to find but i am concerned it took 1/2 hr to find the battery.

I agree with Bill, that's along time to find the battery!!!!!
It sounds like the light switch at the door/windsheild pillar, driver's side or passenger?
