I need to find a damper/harmonic balancer for a 1957 283/270 original engine. I know that there are guys out there that specialize in these, but I can't seem to remember their names. How rare will this be to find and what should I be looking to pay? Thanks.
Garry
Gary,
The '57 used one of 2 balancers. The 283/283 and the standard balancers are avasilable through most of the vendors as replacements or repro's. I have seen them in the catalogs during my current '57 restoration project.
