    67 Seats

My 67 seats were missing the anti-rattle spring & clip go on the inner rod for the seatback latch when I purchased it. I just had seats recovered and messed with this for more time than I care to admit. I am going to redo the thicker than I like AK foam and was hoping for any pictures or advice.
Info: Frames have the hole for the spring end and it would seem that the other u-shaped end rests around the plate end of the axis piece that goes through the side to provide the tension & return to rest position. There is a great blow-up drawing of this in the Paragon catalog. Rods to bottom latch & frame are original.

Q1) I can't get to work correctly - is this the right configuration

Q2) The retaining clips would logically go in the groove on the outside, but it does not extend out of the welded "through collar" with nothing on it; let alone assembled. It would seem that these expensive little clips were not used on my Nov. 66 build...?

    Re: 67 Seats

Bob, Check the AIM;if I remember correctly the anti-rattle spring and clip were added for cars produced after January 1967. My December build car did not have them present when I adjusted the latches and I seem to remember the spring and clip being added to the assembly drawing at a date after the production of my car. regards, Kieran #11373

Thanks. I know this minutia that no one in their right mind would mess would mess with if they didn't have to (nor any 63-66 people). I am only because my car had been apart and one of the connecting rods was a bubba rig and it barely worked ...and since I had come this far "MIGHT AS WELL..."
