I'm at the final phase of restoration and trying to adjust the kick down linkage on a base 230 H.P. automation. Problem is that I have not been able to locate a correct rod "C" p/n 3759064 as shown in the AIM. Can anyone supply the overall lenght of this rod at the points where it connects to lever "B" and the cross shaft assembly "D"? thanks

Re: C1 Automatic throttle valve adjustment
the feb 61 chevy parts book lists a variety of rods in group 4.019 and although its not too clear, it would appear the 61 with powerglide used 12 23/32" long (OL) rod. this is referred to as a gearshift rod and is part #3779251. does 12 23/32 " rod seem like it would work for you?mike- Top

Re: C1 Automatic throttle valve adjustment
Mike, Thanks for the response but the 12 23/32" lenght looks as if it would be to long. I made a rod which is 11" long and if I increase it any further, the lower rod at the carb would run out of threads. I just don't know what it should be. The 2 part numbers listed in the AIM are 3759064 and 3752389 but they both show as optional.- Top
