    C3 Turn Signal Flasher Mounting

I checked all the archives and couldn't find an answer so heres my question. I have a 75 convertible with A/C. I have the AIM and it shows the turn signal flasher and a buzzer behind the passenger side dash. I have the dash out and have located the flasher and the buzzer but they were taped to a metal support bracket. The AIM shows them to be held in place with a clip of some sort. In the AIM the flasher and the buzzer look like they are in the same clip so I don't think the clip for the alarm flasher located in the jack stowage area is the same.

Does anyone know the part number or what the clip looks like and where it is exactly attached? A photograph of the clip(s)for the buzzer and flasher; and their location would be great!

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

If it's like 70, the turn signal flasher is mounted to the RH dash pad. Check your AIM, UPC 12 (Wiring/Vacuum) about page B3. That page in my 70 AIM shows behind the LH dash pad with a detail of the flasher and non-AC courtesy light mounting on the RH dash pad. Flasher assembly is 3909545 and the clip is 3943610.

The picture is in my AIM but the clip is not identified. The number you provided is correct. Thanks for the assistance.

Re: C3 Turn Signal Flasher Mounting

I re-read your original post again.

The detail in the AIM illustrates two items to be retained by the clip, but I have always interpreted that to mean "either/or"...either the round 3909545 flasher is used or an optional rectangular flasher(?) can be used. I've always figured this optional flasher(?) was an item by an alternate supplier, because I can't think of any RPO that would supplent/replace the turn signal flasher.

If I recall correctly, the key warning buzzer is built into the horn relay in 70.

I think the number for the flasher clip is GM#3943610. I got this out of my AIM, but it is a 71 AIM. My flasher has a round shape - a 552, I beleive.
