69 mono to stereo conversion

Does anyone know of anyone that can convert the mono radio over to the stereo type? If not, then where would you begin(besides ebay) to find an original 69 stereo unit?

That's a MAJOR job! About the only things that are common to the mono and stereo versions of the radio are the power supply components and certain chassis sheet metal pieces...

Thanks Jack. I know that some people convert am to am/fm radios so I thought I'd inquire about the mono to stereo conversion... At least now I know that if need to find one that I'll have to get the real thing...which I am finding out are not cheap either!

Are you looking for a factory type update or a modern conversion?

I had my original Mono radio sent out to be modified w/ modern hi-fi & a 180 watt amp.

I haven't installed it yet though.
