Re: no hood plate adjusment left do i need to slot
The hood latch is ONLY to hold the hood down. Not to obtain margins. That's what is sounds like is happening here. I'd guess your margin across the front isn't so good with the hood just sitting on the latches. Probably wide at the right front. Take the left latch all the way off and read your margins. Adjust margins as required and then reinstall the left latch.- Top

nancy: i'd remove both hood pins and lay the hood down and look at the gap between front of hood and the edge of the top surround. just a small adjustment of the hood to surround gap will result in a significant shift of the hood ad it left side gap to the top surround. let us know what gives. mike- Top

If you're happy, I'm happy. But you're hood can't be happy if it's hitting the latches as you describe.
No need to slot the latches unless your car has been wrecked and improperly repaired, has faulty parts installed or a faulty installer put the hood on.- Top

Re: no hood plate adjustment left do i need to slo
Check the pin. You might try putting the left pin in the right spot and vice versa. Pins can get bent and be just enough off to hit like this, yet it is hard to see. You can try turning the pin a quarter turn and see if that helps.- Top
