Although it'a an option, I cannot find connector that would permit a typical snap together connection on an early 77 headlamp harness (those with an alarm switch in the fender). Perhaps it not an early offering as an RPO. Late 77 headlamp harnesses have the connector - even when they do not have the option.

Wanted one photo of an early 77 with an underhood lamp connector on the headamp harness.

I have a 77 built mid Sept of 76 with a serial in the mid 4000's. It has the underhood light and it was part of the convenience group. Convenience group RPO is on the build sheet. The build sheet shows that the fuel alert feature of the convenience group was deleted because of technical issues (perhaps availability or quality/performance).

Geoffrey: I had a early (Nov) L-82 4sp loaded. It had the fender alarm switch location and an under the hood light.
