    black phosphate booster

Does anyone know a plater who will restore the 69 bendix black phosphate power brake booster or had any luck doing it themselves ? I searched the archives but could not find.
    Thanks, Danny

      Re: black phosphate booster

Yeah, I agree, not quite full gloss black paint. And, that's got to be good news for you, too...I'd rather do black paint any day than black phosphate.

In bright sunlight, clean black phosphate (color can vary from medium gray to black) will have crystals in the surface that reflect light. Dirt, grease, and corrosion can make identification between black phosphate and black oxide a little more difficult.
