Re: sealants and adhesives
Sealant and adhesive technology has changed considerably since these cars were built, so I don't think anyone can provide you with exact equivalent products today. The important characteristics you want to match, or most likely exceed, are sealing capability, and hardened properties (dries hard, remains flexible, paintable, etc).
If you go into 3M's product selector (link below; click on "sealants"), there is a plethora of products that are similar in purpose to the original products. Probably for the application you're asking about, 3M's All-Around Autobody Sealant 08500 is as good as any, or possibly some of the heavy-bodied body seam sealers. The 08500 sealant is latex, but they also have seam sealers made from rubber, butyl, nitrile, and epoxy
Read the descriptions, and pick the properties you want; it helps to know what the sealer you removed was like. I would avoid silicone and probably epoxy. The butyl Strip Calk is used to seal heater boxes to firewall, moldings to body frame, and other places that require a non-hardening sealant.

Re: sealants and adhesives
I believe that 05883 would be a very good 3M choice as would some of the Lords products. I believe that Lords Fusor would be another good product, as well as some of the SEMS products. Maybe Bill Williamson or Wayne Womble will chime in on thisDick Whittington- Top
