1967 C2 Convertible Spare Tire Assembly

Would anyone know if the spare tire stowage assembly is still available as a NOS part anywhere? I am looking for an original part not a reproduction.....

Part Numbers from the AIM are:

    1) tray - 3841700
    2) cover - 3886899

    Thanks for your help!!

Bob...The "Parts for Sale" ads in Driveline are worth a look, or e-bay, or the vendors tables at the NCRS meets. Zip offers all the parts of the assembly as a reproduction, (see the link below), though I haven't seen one to say how accurate they are. Good Luck. Pete.

Bob, the 64 to 67 tubs and lids are essentially the same. There are several out there at some of the small parts sellers that deal in real parts and not reproductions. Expect to pay between $375 and $475.

If your going to Carlisle in August, that is your best bet.

There was a nice NOS tub and cover at Carlisle a couple of years back for which the seller had a firm price of $750.00

NOS tubs are different from original

          Bob,

In addition to what the others have said in terms of cost, the one NOS tub I've seen in recent years was different from an original tub. There are two small circular depressions in the tub and the NOS part had 1/8" holes in these depressions. Original tubs do no have the holes.

Ebay Item Numbers 160106992147 & 160106993791 - Tub and Lid respectively from the same seller - about a day left in the auction - already at $500.00+. Good Luck!

              Try Joe Ray

I got a repo for my from Joe Ray and it did not get any deductions at the national. Some repos have extra holes in them that you have to fill in.
