Re: C2 hood gasket.
My orig. 66 has nice swipe of yellow glue complete with brush marks. The weather strip could be glued on back too but there is no evidence of glue on side of weather strip. About two inches down the side there should be a hole that is used to hold side of weather strip in place. Each end. Metal fastener with a pan head and a bow legged metal frame - same on that is used in the convertable top header is used to hold weather strip in place - most have rusted off so you don't see many with the tack in place. Look at orig. hoods for the location of the hole.- Top

Re: C2 hood gasket.
Based on what I have heard and on previous discussions here on the TDB, I believe that the fastener in each end of the hood weatherstrip was only installed on St. Louis bodies, although the current judging guide does not make this distinction.- Top

Bill, If youhave holes in the hood for the ends of the weatherstrip then you'll probably need to pin clips. LIC has them.
This photo shows the typical length for my 67....
THe pin is about 1/2 inch from the end of the stripping- Top
