Starter date range for April '62 build date?

Hi,

My '62 300 powerglide was built the last week of April '62, and the engine was assembled April 2nd. What would be the optimum date range for a starter?

Paul,

Up to six months is accepable, but a mid February dated starter would work just fine.

From mid-February to mid-March would be ideal--you're lucky you have the powerglide--the 7233 for maunal transmission cars is a difficult and expensive piece.

There's a Dec 61 on Ebay, but I don't need one urgently so I'll wait to find a Feb March '62.
