Spring has sprung splendidly here in eastern PA.
I went to re-coat my ralley spare wheel with Eastwood's argent silver I picked up at Carlisle yesterday because I wasn't happy with the way the rim color "grayed up" since last painted in 01. Anyway...
I don't know why I've never seen this before, but here goes. On the inside of the rim ("air side"), on the lip of the rim is a red triangle, oriented upward, tip towards the rim lip, and scaled 3/8" on each side. (Iscosoles?) The tip of the triangle meets the lip edge.
Clock reference, if looking from the street side, and with the valve at the 6-o'clock position, this triangle would be at approximately the 1-oclock. (Wheel is "GM", KH", "DC".)
I've got the uneasy feeling that this bit of minutea is below even the NCRS threshold, but I thought I would say something. Who else am I going to tell? The wife? I don't think so...
So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Thanks for any thoughts. (BTW, I taped over it for painting to save it. You know, in case this tipped the market in my favor...making my '67 L-79 fetch seven figures at BJ.)
