    Q-panels 1968 Coupe

Anyone familiar with a good source for buying these unique 68 interior panels (where interior light is located)?

    Thanks again
    Erik

Do you want original or reproduction. Any of the corvette vendors sells the reproductions as I recall. Originals are getting hard to find. What color are you looking for. Also, the hardware that attaches to the back of the dome lights is hard to find. Take care, Terry

Standard black color Terry. I have the hardware. 1 of my original panels is broken (missing piece), I guess from slamming the door to hard, or .... Obviously I would like an original panel, but I will settle for repo if needed. Or is it possible to 'glue' back missing bit - missing bit is very small. Will post picture if helpful.

The backing material loves super glue. I buy super glue from the hobbie stores and repair cracks in stuff all the time. They make 3-4 different thicknesses. Probably an easy fix. I see 1/4 panels come up on ebay from time to time. Black is the most common color. They are hard to find not all beat up. Once in a while something comes along that is nice. I like original stuff though. If you repair it with super glue, work real carefully and don't let the glue get to the vinyl side of the panel, you know what I mean. If it does, they make stuff to release the super glue also. They even make an excellerator to speed the drying of the super glue. Take care, Terry

thanks terry - unfortunately it is not cracked but bit is missing, so I need to find at least a 'donor' panel. I guess ebay is the only option for original bits.

Call John Greenhoe at Greenhoe's Corvettes. He will more than likely have a nice original one. He is not cheap and he is extremely proud of the stuff he has but he tends to collect only very nice stuff. He sort of specializes in 68. I usually feel like a bug with my wings torn off when he gets done with me. But, he has found me some ultra rare stuff when I needed it. He also knows 68's really well. Sometimes, I have to correct him though Take care, Terry
