I need to replace the radiator on my 69 427 4-speed coupe. It is the copper radiator. I don't know if my radiator is the original or not. On the side tanks is stamped Harrison, but there is no tag. The top header bar has 3 rectangular punch outs right by the ends on both sides. Does this sound like it may be the original? My radiator shop says they can supply the right core, and reuse the tanks, but I don't want to reuse the tanks if they are not correct. Does anyone know of a vendor that sells the correct complete radiator? Thanks for the help. Mark

Re: C-3 radiator question
You can buy the correct core from DeWitts. I would not trust that your local radiator place is really supplying the correct core.

Re: C-3 radiator question

It sounds correct. However, it could still be a Harrison replacement radiator. The correct, original radiator for your application will have no oil cooler provisions on the right side (passenger) tank. This radiator was discontinued by GM MANY years ago and replaced, for SERVICE, by the version with the oil cooler provisions.
So, if you have the version without the oil cooler provisions, then it's VERY likely the original radiator. If you have the version WITH the oil cooler provisions, it's not original to the car. However, except for the oil cooler provisions, it's otherwise of the correct configuration in all ways.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
