    68-E69 427 hood source

Would anyone know where I could find an original or good repop 68 to early 69 427 hood? I tried Paragon but they are all out of used BB hoods and I can't seem to be able to find anyone that has press molded BB hoods.

Greg Carlisle is usually a good place to find the hoods. There were at least 3 there last August.

Thanks Dick. Any idea of what they generally sell for?

My biggest problem there would be getting it shipped back home so it would be much nicer to find a vendor/wrecker someplace that would ship it to me.

I believe that I paid $625 for a very nice on last year. I believe that you are on the "left" coast so I would do a little research. I believe that there is a Corvette salvage yard in WA? state. Maybe someone can chime in on that.

Thanks guys I'll look into the salvage yard in WA.

Mark I just checked Dr Rebuild and I'll have to call and see how close it is to the original. To honest though if I can get a good used one for the price Dick mentioned then that is the way I'd like to go because even with shipping it should work out to be close to the same price as a repro and if given the choice I always try to go original.
