Re: C-1 hardtop restoration
i've done two c-1 hardtops. they aren't that tough to do. get needed parts from the glassworks in pittsburg. they ad in the driveline. deal with the father, ted. son used to work hand in hand with his dad but believe they had a falling out. ted is a good guy and has repo pieces to re-attach the stainless trim, the fastners of which are usually not re-usable due to rust. mike- Top

Re: C-1 hardtop restoration
Ironically today I saw the Driveline ad for Autoentec(formerly Glassworks I recall), and gave a call. Spoke with Ted. Very helpful and knowledgeable. I will be going with them for my restoration needs for sure. I plan on DIY with their full restoration kit. They do the full resto on site as well. check it out at www.autoentec.com

Re: C-1 hardtop restoration
Mike, and Rich, thank you. I was hoping for a local guy, and old timer in NJ., Eastern Pa. My top has been with an experienced upholsterer in Columbus NJ since August'06 and he expects to "get to it" end of May, right when I DON'T need it. I'm not quite "man enough" to do it myself.- Top

Re: C-1 hardtop restoration
Charlie, Another idea is to bring your hardtop to Ted Kokolais from Auto-Tech to Corvette Carlisle this August. Ted is a founding member of our Pittsburgh chapter and is the original hardtop king in the world. In June of 2008 our chapter is having a regional and Ted is going to do a seminar on hardtops. He started out making the rear windows a long time ago and now has most everything needed. Call Ted at 412-264-4892. John D.- Top
