    58 windshield post question

I just noticed that both windshield posts on my '58 have different holes at the top of the frame, one round and one oblong. I've only included the oblong photo (since I wasn't sure how to post two pictures), but it should help explain my possible problem. Correct? If not, which is right?

    Thanks in advance, Steve

    Re: 58 windshield post question

    Steve,

My '59 & '62 is the same as yours, as are all 5?-62's to the best of my knowledge. I believe one hole was designed to be oblong to accomodate variation in the header width when the top pins line up to it. Probably due to variations between the soft top and hard top too.

p.s. You can't post more than one picture. You'd have to combine several pics in your camera software(if you have it) to create one image, then use that. Or you could just list the path of the links in your message. See an earlier post I had today for an example.

Thanks for the help Rich-for the explanation on both the frame and posting the pics.
