    C2 chassis detailing

I have just purchased a Quanta chassis detailing kit for my 67. I would appreciate it if someone would post pictures of the different markings. My car was basically devoid of these.

    Thank you,

    Randy

Follow the guide sent by Quanta. That will get you many of the marks. The marks are nothing fancy or "exacting". They are marks indicating QA or "status".

There are just too many to post on this site......

Here are a few to get you started.
I have "before" photos to back up these markings for everything except the "star mark" on the frame.....

Steve, Your response is amazing. Is it true that not ALL of the chassis's going down the line received all the war paint? Just some of them? Thanks very much, John D.

Would like to think that all were treated equally, but.......

Thank you for the photos. These help. I have a few questions:

If paint markings are to confirm the completion of an operation or the inspection of an operation, why would most of a front spindle surface be painted orange when a dab of paint would do?

Are the colored markings shown in the photo of the front of the frame typical?

As you can probably deduce, my chassis shows no evidence of any markings so I really appreciate the photos.

My front spindles looked as if they were dipped in orange.......one top one bottom.
This is the original markings from one spindle.
