63 SWC fuelie

I just got a new 5 X 17" radiator fan from one of the vendors. GM replacement for 60-67, non A/C. It has flat rivet heads and a flat hub.
The JM says, that I should have a (5) blade fan with a round rivet heads, round-ish hub and rounded blades for early 63. My car had a (7) blade fan with round rivet heads, roundish hub and sqare fan blades. (apears to be for A/C).
I want a used the correct fan for judging.
Are older fans available ? (I could trade my A/C fan...)
What deduction would I have to take, if I should stay with the new GM replacement unit ?

All 63 corvettes used a 5 blade fan with the letter H stamped by the center hole. The diameter of the blade was 17 1/4" with Round head rivets and it had 5 blades for ALL applications including air cars. Used originals are around for $50 - $100. I would be careful and buy a good one that is not bent up or pitted. If you lay the blade on a flat surface the trailing edges of each blade should completely touch the surface. The fan blade I do believe was painted Gloss black. I hope this helps? Andy
