I'm glad you guys had a good experience

with the guy from W. Palm Beach, I didn't. My experience was months and months of waiting and poor communication. When I got the cluster back it was OK, nothing special, and the back hadn't been touched. There was no way I would send another one there. To me it seemed haphazard and unprofessional, maybe it's better now.

The next one went to CSofM and I was extremely pleased. The back of the cluster was just as nice as the front. It was a little more expensive but worth it when it came back better than expected and in a reasonable time frame.

From now one I'll use either Joe Ray or Jason Oliver both of which do outstanding work.

        Brian,

Is either Joe Ray or Jason Oliver with Corvette Specialties of Maryland?

          No.

Joe is at Joe Ray Parts. He did mine last fall for the 66 and they were excellent with a fast turnaround. Can't be beat.

I was not also not pleased with Roger's work. Average- at best, and I had to remove the lenses and polish them myself.

              Jason Oliver

And Jason can be reached at VetteInstruments@aol.com

He did the cluster in my 65, stunning results, a fair price, and immediate turn around. Jason's a favorite of the CF C1-C2 forum . . . . .

                Instruments

Roger Scott used to do outstanding work, and he has done a bunch of gauges for me over the years, but I wasn't pleased with the last stuff I sent him. The cluster housing paint was very flat and had little pieces of "fuzz" in the paint around some of the openings. Also, the lenses were loose and rattling around. I sent it back: he "fixed" the lenses by sticking pieces of cardboard around them, did nothing to fix the paint, and blamed the bad work on some guy who was working for him. I redid the lenses myself with thicker gaskets, and sent him back his cardboard pieces. I think Roger is a nice person, but I will probably send my next work to Corvette Specialties or someone else.

                  Craig,
Call Joe Ray. You won't be dissapointed.
