To everyone out there thinking of who to use for getting your bumpers etc. re-chromed ,use caution with Jack @ nu-chrome in Fall River Mass.I sent him my 4 67 bumpers in early Jan. with a 2 month lead time.He asked for some $$$ up front in the begining which I thought was fair.Now--in mid March I get my C/Card statement & he charged me the balance for the job. Most of you know the job isn't cheap.I figured that he had charged me because the bumpers were on their way-----NOT------as of yesterday,I finally got through to him ONLY by calling his partner in Fla. & getting his cell #----Now I'm being told I'll see them by tomorrow the 4th.BE CAREFUL---I'll never work with him again---& STILL to be continued when I get them back----Hopefully!!!!----hopefully the work will be done correctly----let you know.

Re: USE CAUTION WITH NU-CHROME!
At least you were smart enough or lucky enough to use a credit card. You can always dispute the charge and effectively get your money back.
If you had sent cash, money order, cashier check, wire transfer - you would have a hard time recovering. Just ask the unlucky ones that have dealt with Goat Hill !!!- Top

Re: USE CAUTION WITH NU-CHROME!
I'm had them plate several items on my 63. They are slow but I always got my items. My front left bumper had a slight bend in it. When I got it back they didn't correct the bend as promised. They did replate it for me without complaining.
I live about an hour away from Fall River so I am able to drop off and pick up. I'm sure that is an advantage.- Top

Re: USE CAUTION WITH NU-CHROME!
I just sent off my original '67 front license bar, which mounts between the bumpers, to Paul's Chrome Plating in Evans City, Pa. The one edge of the bar is slighty bent and has a small crack.
I've been dealing with Paul's for 15 years and I've never been disappointed. Their repair work and chome has always been perfect, at least for me. They're not cheap either but you get what you pay for. PT

Re: USE CAUTION WITH NU-CHROME!
Had good luck with 2 sets of front mid year bumpers. Took care of some dents and they really looked nice. Pay in full was to avoid shipping costs.
Then I sent 2 perfect door posts from my 61 and got back someone elses repaired door posts. I'd engrave my parts before I ever send them out again.- Top

There you go---be careful--these were the only parts I sent out to various restoration shops that I didn't initial or mark. The sad thing is is that I wasn't shopping for price,I just wanted a good job!!They are supposed to be here tomorrow the 4th-----I think I might ask the gentleman near Fall River to take a ride for me!!!- Top
