I have removed the tank filler door from the deck of my 77,as well as the chrome trim ring.Below I see a rubber bladder or gasket of sorts.Does this remain in place when I lift body off frame? I see no other hardware that must be removed. Regards,Mike
Yes, the rubber boot stays with the gas tank...there is no attachment to the body. The upper edge of the the boot simply presses against the underside of the deck to seal the filler area.
