    C2 rear wire harness clips

I am installing a rear harness on my 65 convertible and have 3 new clips to hold the harness in place. Does anyone know where these 3 clips should be attached to exactly?
In the assembly manual, I can see 1 clip goes above the license plate lamp housing and the other 2 near the tail lights on each side, but are they bolted onto the body? The drawing in the AIM shows has them away from the light mounting hardware so I am somewhat confused.

    Pieter,
As you saw in the AIM, the center clip is attached to the center screw of the license plate lamp housing. The other two are attached to the top posts of the inside tail lights (or back-up lights if equiped). Just slip the clips over the lamp housing posts (loops facing upward) and install the speed nuts that hold the lamp housings in the auto.

Hope this is helpful. Good luck on your '65. Mine is nearing completion.

    Regards,
    Gene

      Hi Gene,

thanks for your response. Very helpful indeed. Great to get such detailed information! The previous owner had the harness clipped to the rear frame with s-clips, which was obviously different from the factory set-up.
I am also nearing completion after a 2 year body-off restore. Can't wait to get it on the road.

      Thanks again for your help,

      Pieter #43817
