Hi
I ordered a new upper radiator hose for my 1966 427 390 from Paragon and the blue stripe was cracked.
I returned it for a replacement I installed it and the blue stripe on this one has cracked. Dose any body sell the blue paint for the stripe.
Thanks Tony
This often occurs when "elfs from der forest" get involved in striping or otherwise "insignia-fying" hoses. Those little rascals drink too much at times and this is what happens.
Seriously, though, I believe that the stripes are applied with an ink and not paint. I don't know of a source for the ink, but I expect that a similar ink could be found at an arts-and-crafts supply store. Also, you might want to try a Dr. Rebuild hose. He employs no elfs.
Beyond the above, I would not be a bit surprised if the stripes on original hoses were often "imperfect". Having them too perfect might not be original.
