I'm looking at repro wiring harness, whole car: dash, horn, courtesy lights, head lights, engine, rear, you name it. Don't want to run the old bubba wires. Opinions on best supplier? Who makes the best wire sets?

Re: '55 wiring harness
Probably 'Lectric Limited since, I believe, they make them for most of the other vendors. I may be corrected so, hopefully, others will post their opinions.

Re: '55 wiring harness
Just installed a new dash, horn, lights, etc. wiring harness-- no problem whatsoever. Lectric limited was the supplier. They pay attention to every little detail. Had a fire in the old one. no fault of old wires --just us trying to install gas guage incorrectly.- Top

I used
the "Lectric" set from headlights to taillights on mine about 18 years ago. The instrument sockets were plastic instead of metal, and the two wires from the harness to the generator were a couple inches shorter than original, but it installed well and works perfectly. I pulled the original because the insulation was starting to look funky.
I also replaced the antenna cable at that time, the hard part was the ground strap in the middle of the rocker panel. I got lucky with a wire fishing it out of the slot.- Top
