    C-1, 5.5" wheels - Are Repro's Available?

Is anybody reproducing 5-1/2" wide C-1 wheels (RPO276)? Or, is there a cross reference wheel for another vehicle that is close in appearance for non-judged use.

    Thanks,
    Dave

Not an area I have any real in depth knowledge. I have seen GM wheel part number 3838080 used. They are 15x5.5 and were a service only replacement wheel. If memory serves they became available in 1966. I don’t think they are available from the General anymore. The configuration of the rim accommodates disk brakes on the “8080” wheel.

      David,

Early to mid 60's Chevrolet station wagons had wheels that are an approximation. They are 15", I think they are six inches wide, they do have the correct "nubs" on the hub to attach dog dish hubcaps.

A friend has a set on his 56. They look good and fit right.

David, Scroll down about a dozen posts and you will see someone asking for George "Seltzer" phone number. Wrong spelling. Anyhow call George for the repro wheels. I had a set of NOS 15-5-1/2 wheels with 4-3/4 bolt pattern. Thought I was gonna retire selling those wheels. Trouble was that instead of having the nubs to hold the cheap hubcap the wheels had big heavy duty spring clips riveted on. John

Thanks John. I will check that out.
If you retired though, I would miss out on gawking at the beautiful FI Units you bring to Carlisle each year
