A while back, there were recommendations for "must have" books. The Corvette Servicing Guide (ST-12) was listed by many. In the driveline there is the 1953-1962 corvette servicing guide, are these the same thing?

Yes the ST-12 is the 53-62 Service Guide. It is available from the NCRS Online Store (link below). Check out the C-1 1953-62 link for the most important reference material for your car. There are also links for C-2 and C-3 reference material.
