How many days or months should a starter or generator precede the build date of the C -1 engine?

They don't relate to the engine build date; the starter and generator were installed at St. Louis (not at Flint Engine), so they date back from the car's final assembly date. Although 2-6 weeks is "typical", full credit is given for up to six months prior.
