agree with jerry but the plug wire stands that the ign shielding fastens to are present on the radio-absent 60 vettes.mike

If a 57 is delivered with a radio..does it automatically also have shielding?

So a 57 fuel injected 283/283 airbox RPO 579D, with RPO 684 heavy duty brakes..delivered from St.Louis with the radio option..would have ignition shielding.

If Radio is ordered, the Shielding is part of the option package, and thus would be included. As Mike mentioned, the wire supports for the distributor cover are in place for all cars. Only the supports for the sparkplug shielding was added at St Louis. This is pretty well covered in the AIM.
