    '67 Shock Absorber Paint

The NCRS manual specifies the color "gray" for the suspension shock absorbers. Can anyone recommend a spray paint, color and vendor for this?
    Thanks in advance.

Shopsmith sells a touch up rattle can for their early woodworking machines that is the exact shade of grey you need judging from the two NOS 67 shocks I have. In my opinion it is a closer shade than the Quanta paint.

When you paint replacements gray is it solid gray over the Logo or is the logo "AC DELCO" preserved

Oriignal Delco shocks from the era (that's the yardstick for judging) were embossed with D-R identification data. Therefore, painting has no effect. If you have service replacement shocks that you're trying to make appear to be factory originals by painting and they have stick-on labels, I'd advise you either mask the labels or remove and replace to show the judges you have service replacement shocks that were at least sourced from Delco vs. being non-GM service replacements.

See thread below for detailed photos. There are no Delco labels of any kind. There is a stamped identification at the bottom and a broadcast sticker only.
