Hello all! The 3rd edition TIM&JG lists a "Consumer Information Sheet" as being included in the owners packet. The 2nd edition does not list this piece. Can anyone tell me what it is and if it is available anywhere. As always, thanks for your help.
Jeff
I believe that piece of paper would be incorrect for 1969. It would be correct for the 1970 cars. That will most likely be corrected in the next editionof the 68/69 JG.
Mark:
Thanks for the response. The next question is how do you prevent a deduction at judging when the person judging "goes by the book" and doesn't know that this may be a mistake? All judges do the best they can and use the judging manual as their guide.
Jeff
It's usually the novice judges that go exclusively 'by the book' as those with senior experience levels tend to consult the JG only when they encounter something outside their sphere of knowledge. As with all deductions, the owner has the right to question and appeal during the judge/owner debriefing session and that's the time to make your input when you know they went by the book AND you know the 'book' has an error...
Mark and Jack:
Thanks for those responses. When this car is judged the owner will be advised of your recommendations. As always they are much appreciated.
