I just read a thread from January 2006 about jack retainer springs and loops. It looks like there is evidence for and against a single loop jack spring on a late production 66. I lost points at the SE Regional in Charlotte because my 66 had a double loop. Can anyone shed some light?
Matt - 66 TIM&JG indicates jack retainer should have a single loop. The previous thread had responses from some 66 original owners and if I recall the response was single loop retainer. Check it out. Pete
I purchased 194676S111588 from the original owner in 1981. It was a totally unmolested low option poorly maintained rotten frame car. The jack rataining spring was a single loop.
